Attorneys
Payvand Abghari is the founder and shareholder of Abghari Law, APC. Ms. Abghari has over a decade of legal experience, with emphasis in complex real estate transactions, including the acquisition, disposition, financing, development, management and leasing of real estate properties. She also has extensive experience with joint venture arrangements.
Ms. Abghari has been actively involved in the closing of over 1 billion dollars in real estate acquisition and finance transactions. Prior to forming Abghari Law, Ms. Abghari practiced with a large law firm (having begun her real estate practice with Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP), specializing in the representation of private equity investors, residential and commercial developers, fund sponsors, commercial banks, property owners and individual real estate investors. She has also served as in-house counsel to a robust real estate investment firm actively involved in the acquisition, finance, construction and management of affordable and conventional multi-family properties, including tax-exempt bond and low-income housing tax credit deals. Ms. Abghari draws on her extensive litigation experience in the areas of construction defect, personal injury and employment law to advise her clients on potential transactional loopholes, thereby mitigating the risk of future litigation.
Ms. Abghari is also an entrepreneur whose business savvy gives her first-hand knowledge of the challenges entrepreneurs face on a daily basis, as well as a large network of professionals who can aid her clients in overcoming those challenges.
She received her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 2010 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from UCLA in 2004. Outside of the office, she enjoys cycling, weightlifting, travel and photography.
